Description

This slave deed transfers the ownership of nine slaves, ranging from 2 -30 years in age, who are described as "slaves for life." These slaves were bought for 11,000 dollars by Ann H. P. Noble. It is signed by several witnesses.
"I this day bargain sell + deliver to Ann H P Noble a leven negroes Emmanuel Thirty years old Rheubin Twenty years old, Tehyler Twenty years old, Claborn Eighteen years Old, Ambers Thirty years old, George Two years old Phillis Twenty Eight years Old Tharlote Eighteen years Old Jane Fourteen years old Mary Thirteen years old Precilla Twenty five years old. Said signed I warrant to be sound in boddy + mind + slaves for life For said negroes I have this day Received of said Ann H P Noble Eleven Thousand Dollars in payment.
I [smudge] have also sold + delivered three mules + Twenty Head of Cattle + Two Yoke of Oxeine for which I have received Atrist Five Hundred Dollars"
